As the historians frame the outcome of the 2010 US midterm election, they
need to give the Tea Party Movement (Modern Morphing of yesteryear’s Ku
Klux Klan) an “A” for its effort that once again legitimated financial
rape. Tea Party Movement
racist antics to debilitate President Barack Obama’s ability to govern
suggest that they should make a public proclamation stating that they
are agents of the oil oligarchy working hell bent against the financial
interest of the American People.
When the oil oligarchy raises the prices of gasoline their actions are
tantamount to a small group of people acting as a government with full
taxing power. The oil oligarchy understands that they do not need
permission from anyone to raise gasoline prices. The only action the oil
oligarchy needs to take is a media blitz that offers public relations
explanations for their action such as a weak dollar or higher global oil
demand with potential improving global markets.
Between 2008 and 2009 the average price of gasoline in the United States
of America went from 331.7 cents per gallon down to 240.1 cents per
gallon or down 91.6 cents per gallon.
This huge price drop ran counterpoised to the enrichment desires
of the fat cats underwriting rightwing Republican juggernauts (Tea Party
Movement racists). November 10, 2010 found average gasoline prices
across the US at 285.7 cents per gallon or a 45.6 cent price increase so
far this year.
You get a feel for what the 45.6 cent increase in one year means when you
consider US Senators
Tom Carper (D) and George Voinovich (R) want to increase the tax on
gasoline by 1 cent per month for 25 months then let it be indexed to
inflation thereafter to lower the deficit and improve highway
infrastructure. It is estimated they would collect over 200 billion
dollars in five years. On the other hand, you can visualize the fat cats
cheering the Tea Party Movement in handing the oil oligarchy a 45.6 cent
raise in under a year replete with the authority to raise their gasoline
prices whenever .
What is very troubling is looking at roughly a decade of history of an
effective oil oligarchy member ExxonMobil where we see a corporation
that figured out how to circumvent a 1911 US Supreme Court Ruling that
broke its predecessor into 34 smaller companies to prevent an oil
monopoly. In 1998, the formation of ExxonMobil kindled the growth 1999
sales of 185.5 billion US dollars to 2008 of 459.6 billion. The
cumulative sales over this time period is 3226.924 billion (over three
and one quarter trillion dollars).
The ExxonMobil net profit went from 7.91 billion in 1999 to 45.22 billion
in 2008. The cumulative net profit is 279.99 billion (over one quarter
trillion dollars).
The Tea Party Movement’s antics suggest that either they do not fully
comprehend the destructive impact of their tomfoolery or they are
comparable to Al Qaeda in their zeal to destroy peace and tranquility in
Mainstream America. Surely, one might expect the American people to grow
hostile towards the Tea Party Movement’s inability to understand that
exploiting yesterday’s racism means the destruction of today’s middle
class as the moneychangers fill the national leadership vacuum and
exploit the dividedness they have perpetrated in the nation.
Perhaps the Tea Party Movement will experiment with some sound reasoning
by pondering the question, “Is maintaining yesteryear’s racism too
expensive in today’s Great Depression II?”
Thus I ask, “Is the Tea Party Movement looking forward to doing
whatever reckless antics are necessary to maintain high unemployment
until the 2012 General Election?”
