September 17, 2010 The 1900 level of exploitation of southern white fear of African Americans gaining socioeconomic parity in the economic mainstream was catapulted to national legitimacy in the infamous Ku Klux Klan propaganda film by D.W. Griffith in 1915 that was the first White House movie “The Birth of a Nation.” The disdainful caricatures of President Barack Obama one saw on the television news on signs at Tea Party gatherings suggest that they are nothing more than the reincarnation of yesteryear’s KKK.
Hence, their own actions suggest that they are racist juggernauts. Of course there are a few House Negroes in the Tea Party's white bastion, I guess these Uncle Toms are hoping to get on Fox News to showcase their African American skin color. It is clear that the Tea Party folks are attempting to scare Hispanics into not coming out to vote for fear of immigration problems for native born citizens in the fall 2010 Midterm Election. Tea Party folks are attempting to exploit demonic actions against President Obama to kindle apathy in Black Americans to say there is no need to vote. The Tea Party people are well aware that who controls the US Congress, at least the next two years, is in the hands of the black clergy. It is time for blacks to vote as mainstream voters only with a 90+ percent black vote turnout to prevent America’s racist trinity of Russ Limbaugh, Glen Beck, and Sean Hannity from forcing failure on our first African American president. In yesteryear Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. provided leadership to allow Black Americans to rejoice at full citizenship with the passage of the civil rights and voting rights laws. The battle now is socioeconomic parity that demands one must vote or not complain if the system ignores her or him. A New Jersey friend shared how he was once an understudy of late US Congressman Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. of New York. My friend says Powell said you need two things to have viability in the US political arena. They are money and the vote. Black America has the vote. Although Dr. King was a messianic leader, today many black clergy have large followings suggesting they might create a loose federation to foster a massive black voter turnout on November 2, 2010. Black America can not afford to allow the Tea Party people to create another era of Jim Crow because blacks failed to use the power of our vote instead offering excuses for not voting. I trust both black Christian and Muslim clergy will turnout the black vote to demonstrate that Tea Party people can not enchant Black America into a nonvoting people. |
