Will the Clinton Campaign Incarnate the Age of the Judas Delegate?

Ten losses in a row for Senator Hillary Clinton’s Presidential bid makes one wonder if she now is absorbed by the adage “Desperate people do desperate things.” Will Senator Hillary Clinton’s forces attempt to incarnate a new class of Democratic convention delegate that I shall label, “The Judas delegate” in hopes of destroying the winning momentum of Senator Barack Obama?

These Judas delegates are pledged delegates won in the primaries and caucuses that may defect from Senator Barack Obama at ten minutes to the eleventh hour before the Democratic Convention to hand the presidential nomination over to Hillary Clinton in a close race. Clinton landslide victories in Texas, Ohio, and Pennsylvania would create the fertile atmosphere for the Judas delegates to emerge as the key force in selecting the 2008 Democratic Party presidential standard-bearer.

However, this Judas delegate scheme suggests that the Democrat Party would be working hard at finding ways to pull defeat out of the jaws of victory. Surely, Senator John Mc Cain will be jumping for joy if Senator Hillary Clinton is able to get Senator Barack Obama delegates to switch prior to the Democratic Convention. Then Senator Mc Cain would no longer have to worry about a historic black and youthful voter turnout in the General Election which would have portended an Obama victory in November 2008. Will Judas delegates insure Senator John Mc Cain will be the next US President by allowing the Democrats to continue their enchantment with self-destruction?
