Biden Understands Lower-Slower Delaware Mindset Is the Key to Reaching Blue Collar American

Senator Joseph Biden’s key asset for the Senator Barack Obama Presidential ticket comes in his understanding of what Delawareans call lower-slower-Delaware. He reaches working class voters regardless of their race and nationality. Furthermore, two minorities on the ticket at the same time would be political suicide because the nation is ready for an evolution and not a revolution. Seeing Biden juxtaposed to Obama may make people over sixty comfortable for their leadership tradition is fading away and not destroyed totally in this election cycle.

The 2008 Presidential race boils down to looking through the eyes of a corporation chairman of the board of directors in selecting a person to groom for tomorrow’s leadership. Do you think the CEO will pick a young person with years of potential leadership or an experienced individual whose yesterday’s experiences may no longer be relevant to today’s need? Obama’s youth underpinned with Biden’s guidable experience would no doubt be the CEO’s choice and the best selection for a nation now teetering on a severe economic downturn.

The real 2008 General Election barometer is the American people are voting against four dollars per gallon gasoline, home foreclosures, bank failures, jobs shipped overseas, and so on. Clearly, the American people will vote their pocketbook, pocketbook, and pocketbook. As a Delawarean where people are known to vote for the person regardless of their political party, I find myself as a registered Republican throwing my support behind the candidacy of Obama and Biden ticket.

What is most troubling for me about Senator John McCain’s candidacy centers on my worry that he may suffer from President George Bush’s fatal flaw of being an ideologue where emotional attachment to political stances may supersede his better judgment.
